    On the twenty-fourth of of February 1942, appeared before me, Royal Norwegian Consul at Willemstad, Curacao:

    LEIF MOEN, master of the torpedoed motortanker "KONGSGAARD" of Stavanger, to make a Maritime Declaration, and in presence of: FINN WATHNE, first mate of the m.t. "KONGSGAARD" declared: that the attached extract of the logbook, duly signed by him, the first mate, the third mate, 2nd engineer, wireless-operator and helmsman, contains all that happened to the "KONGSGAARD" on the 21st of February 1942, and that he, Master, reserves all rights to extend this declaration when and where required.

    In evidence whereof he signed this declaration, together with all who signed the log-extract and me, Royal Norwegian Consul, at Willemstad, this twenty-fourth of February 1942, in the presence of Captain Eivind Meyer, ex-master of the m.t. "EGDA" and Sigurd Rasmussen, Captain of the Norwegian m.s. "BETANCURIA".
