Support Our Work

When we first began the development of Krigsseilerregisteret, we received financial support from Samlerhuset Norge and contributions from donors from all over Norway. The Norwegian Centre for the History of Seafarers at War establishment was with the government´s aid. From 2016 the government has financed two permanent positions to work with Krigsseilerregisteret.no and the documentation on the History of Seafarers at War.

However, we must manage on our own financially as we proceed with the work of registering war sailors. This entails funding the development of the websites, employee salaries, and costs related to the voluntary activities that take place under the auspices of ARKIVET Peace and Human Rights Centre.

By giving a contribution to Krigsseilerregisteret, you will help us document the war sailors and their history and honour their war effort. A financial contribution to Krigsseilerregisteret will help us achieve our goal faster, where each war sailor has their own website.
