ANDREASSEN, JARLE ARVID, sjømann, Sandtorg. Født 8. november 1918 i Sandtorg, s. av Julius Andreassen, f. 1893 i Gausvik, og Anna f. Jensen, f. 1886 i Fauskevåg. Reiste til sjøs da han var 17 år og gikk i utenriksfart. Tjente verneplikten i marinen i 1939 som fyrbøter på panserskipet Eidsvold, og omkom da skipet ble senket utenfor Narvik 9. april 1940.
