"Lå i Moss under krigsutbruddet den 9. april 1940 og losset last fra uenos Aires. "Troma" ble som alle andre skip rekvirert og seilte under krigen i fart mellom Norge-Tyskland-Holland. ....
Skipet ble 2 ganger minesprengt utenfor den hollandske kyst, og i 1943 under innledende storangrep på Hamburg, fikk det en fulltreffer i 4-luke. Da skipet var lastet med koks, ble skaden ikke større, enn at skipet klarte seg ved egen hjelp å komme til Oslo. Senere lå det ved Aker Mek. Verksted og reparerte, da det i nov. 1944 ble senket av Max Manus sabotasjegruppe."

Var på MS Troma (skadet) under eksplosjonen 23. november 1944, skipet lå ved Akers mek. Verksted for reparasjon.
