FØDT: 06.01.1926 FØDESTED: Holum DØD: 20.05.1945 DØDSÅRSAK: Minefelt STED/SKIP: Mandal. FRYDNES, MAGNUS, matros. Født 6. januar 1926 i Holum, s. av Sigurd Frydnes, f. 1897 i Harkmark, og Gudrun f. Skoie, f. 1901 i Holum. Var med under krigen i illegalt arbeid, seilte senere i alliert fart på forskjellige skip og kom tilbake til Norge 16. mai 1945. Noen dager etter hjemkomsten kom han sammen med en venn inn i et tysk minefelt i nærheten av Mandal, han ble hardt såret og sendt til sykehuset hvor han døde 20. mai 1945. Gravlagt i Mandal.
