FÆREVAAG, GUNNAR, skipsfører, Laksevåg. Født 28. september 1896 på Stord, s. av Peder Færevaag, f. 1861 i Tysnes, og Helga f. Horveland, f. 1867 på Stord. Gift 1926 i Oslo med Aagot Andresen, f. 1902 i Oslo. 5 barn. Styrmanns- og skipperskole. Førte båter på kysten under krigen. Omkom da d/s Bjergfin ble bombet i senk i Eidsfjord 25. januar 1945, på vei fra Bergen til Harstad.
