Født 8. oktober 1910 i Slagen. Dro til sjøs i 1926 med fl.k. "Saragossa" av Port Stanley, tilh. Chr. Salvesen & Co.
Styrm. eks 1933 og skipsf.eks. 1934 i Tønsberg.
Styrmann med mt "Velma", mt "Havfru", ds "Sarpfoss" og ds "Kronprins Olav" (senere omdøpt til "Ramfoss").
Ble i 1944 fører av "Ramfoss" av Oslo tilh. Skips A/S Thor Thoresens Linje.
Har senere ført "Sarpfoss", og ms "Vestfoss", begge av Oslo tilh. s. rederi.
