Historikk 1. verdenskrig:
Sjømannen vitnet ved sjørett holdt den 2. april 1917, ved generalkonsulatet i London, etter at DS O. A. KNUDSEN ble torpedert 22/3 i pos. N50.34', W00.20' av tysk ubåt utenfor Beachey Head på reise fra London til Port Talbot i ballast. Klarte å komme seg inn til Southampton. Reparert.
