LAMMENES, ERLING JOHAN, telegrafist, Stavanger. Født 1. oktober 1918 i Madla, s. av Sivert Lammenes, f. 1890, og Elisabeth f. Jøssang, f. 1880. Skoleskipskurs, tjente verneplikten i Marinen. Dro ut 1939 med m/t Glitre, og ble 1941–42 utdannet i Toronto til telegrafist i Marinens flyvåpen. Kom senere på m/s Jamaica som telegrafist. Omkom 7. mars 1943 da skipet ble torpedert og senket av tyske u-båter, på vei fra Liverpool til New York.
