Gift 1921 i Oslo med (Beba) Josefine Walmann, f. 1893 i Berg, Østfold. 1 barn. Elementærteknisk skole. Reiste som elektriker på m/s Benjamin Franklin som gikk i alliert tjeneste. Omkom 19. februar 1941 da skipet ble torpedert NNV av Irland, på reise fra Los Angeles via Bermuda til Liverpool.
