Hadde sertifikat som 3.maskinist.
Var motormann på M/S BORGESTAD. Omkom da skipet ble senket i Atlanteren den 12.februar 1941 etter å ha tatt opp kampen med den tyske panserkrysseren ADMIRAL HIPPER.
