BERNTSEN, ALF, maskinmester, Moss. Født 26. oktober 1881 i Horten, s. av Haakon Berntsen og Helene, f. Olsen. Gift 1903 i Fredrikstad med Anne-Sofie Larsen, f. 1880 i Fredrikstad, d. 1921. 2 barn. Maskinistskole. Var maskinmester på d/s Douro, og omkom da båten krigsforliste 9. mai 1942 på reise fra Reykjavik til England. Skipet ble bombet av tyske fly to dager etter avgangen fra Reykjavik.
