Gift 1926 i Mandal med Anna Strømsnes, f. 1906. 2 barn. Styrmannsskole. Var på d/s Hellen som ble torpedert i Atlanterhavet 21. desember 1941. Alle ble reddet. Omkom i mars 1942 med d/s Ingerto som forsvant på vei fra Clyde til Mobile.
