I følge Nortraships lister av januar 1943 Ble Charles Brændeland tatt til fange og ført til Japan etter først å være rapportert savnet ved HERBORGS forlis juni 1942.
Ble senere frigitt fra tysk fangeleir og sendt til Oslo 1. mars 1943.
