En av D/S Hersteins øvrige besetning som ble tatt til fange av japanerne. 1. juli 1942 var de under transport med fangeskipet Montevideo Maru fra Rabaul til Japan, da den ble torpedert utenfor Luzon av en amerikansk ubåt 1.7.1942. Alle omkom.
