Gift 1935 i Bergen med Olga Katharina Farnes, f. 1910 i Bergen. 2 barn. Var stuert i den norske handelsflåten under krigen og var på d/s Koll som 4. april 1942 ble torpedert i Atlanterhavet på vei fra Halifax til England. Døde i livbåten 14. april 1942.
