«Snikkar- og treskjærarskule. Reiste i 1940 frå Tromsø med d/s Salonica som gjekk til Svalbard etter kol til Noreg; men då Noreg kapitulerte, gjekk skipet til Amerika. Det siglde deretter i alliert fart fart og vart torpedert og søkkt i Atlanterhavet 23. november 1940. Årset kom seinare på m/t Kongsgaard, og miste livet då skipet vart torpedert 21. februar 1942 vest for nordpynten av Curacao, på reise frå Puerto de la Cruz til Aruba».
