Var utdannet kokk og stuert, og seilte under krigen på D/T LITIOPA som ble senket av tysk ubåt utenfor Freetown den 22.oktober 1943. Ble reddet, men døde av skadene den 15. november 1943 før han kom i land om bord på britiske D/S ORBITA.
