DS Lynghaug ankom Seine-bukten, Gold Beach, 8. juni 1944 og ble senket 10. juni som nr. 14 i en rekke av 15 skip som dannet bølgebryter for Mulberry B-havnen, som ble anlagt i britisk sektor utenfor Arromaches.
