Skriv av 8.januar 1943. Ifølge utenriksdepartementet i London er mannen tatt il fange i Japan etter først å ha vært rapportert savnet ved MADRONOS forlis.
Befridd av amerikanerne i Japan 13.september 1945. Sendt som passasjer til Manila og videre med amerikansk troppetransportskip til San Francisco den 1.11.1945. Fangenskaplønn til og med 31.12.1945.
