Var kokk ombord på D/T MADRONO ble kapret av den tyske raider THOR den 4.juli 1942 i Stillehavet. Skip og mannskap ført til Japan. Senere ble mannskap sendt videre til Tyskland med RAKETHIS som underveis ble senket i Biscayabukten. Mannskapet ble landsatt i Frankrike og sendt til fangelleir Milag i Tyskland. Ble løslatt 24.11.1943 og hjemsendt til Oslo.
