"Morviken" ble kapret og senket av tyske "Penguin" 27.8.1940. Sjømannen ble tatt til fange og ført ombord i "Penguin". Derfra ble han overført til "Nordvard"16.9.1940 som ankom Bodeaux 22.11.1940. Derfra ble han sendt til fangeleiren Ebhausen. Han ble sendt hjem med DS Donau og løslatt i Oslo 4.mai 1941
