«Gift 1928 i Bergen med Johanne Bogetvedt, f. 1896 i Askøy, d. 1945 i Bergen. 2 barn. Maskinistskole. Seilte under krigen som maskinmester i handelsflåten. Omkom da d/s Norhauk ble minesprengt 21. desember 1943 i munningen av Themsen. Krigsmedaljen».
Broren Nils Martin omkom i 24.februar 1945.
