Var før krigen brøt ut, til sjøs og fortsatte som båtsmann på M/T NORDTIND. Omkom da skipet 26. januar 1943 ble utsatt for u-båtangrep etter å ha tatt opp mannskapet fra et annet skip i en konvoi på vei fra New York til England. Hele mannskapet omkom.
