D/S OLE WEGGER ble kapret på fangstfeltet av den tyske hjelpekrysser PENGUIN. Brakt til Frankrike og senket ved Rouen. Mannskapet ble sendt hjem til Norge. Anders Chr. Christensen ankom Sandefjord 5. mai 1941.

"Anders Christensen Vindal reiste ut som 15-åring med sin far kaptein A. Christensen Vindal på bark "Kamfjord". Etter å ha fart med forskjellige båter ble han i 1913 3. styrmann på fl. kokeri "Ørn 2". Senere var han styrmann med fl. k. "Falk" og fl. k. "Ole Wegger" som ble tatt av tyskerne på feltet. Christensen Vindal kom hjem fra tysk fangenskap under krigen og drev sin gård på Vindal til han reiste ut igjen som 1. styrmann på fl. k. "Thorshammer" etter frigjøringen. Sin siste tur på hvalfeltet gjorde han som 1. styrmann på fl. k. "Thorshøvdi".
