ROGNERUD, ARVE HENDRY, radiotelegrafist, Rakkestad. Født 17. juli 1918 i Rakkestad, s. av August Rognerud, f. 1878, d. 1935 s. st., og Helene f. Gabestad, f. 1882 s. st. Framhaldsskole, skoleskipskurs, radiotelegrafistskole. Da Norge kom med i krigen, var han på en norsk båt i Middelhavet. Kom i alliert tjeneste etter å ha gjennomgått radioskole i New York og i Canada. Var radiotelegrafist på m/t Ranja som gikk fra Houston 9. mars 1942 og forsvant sporløst på vei til Halifax. Krigsmedaljen post mortem. Omtalt i Østfold Bygdeblad 3. mars 1947.
