«Gift 1924 i Tønsberg med Anna Signora, f. 1897. 2 barn. De to siste år og under forrige krig var han til sjøs, men var ellers på hvalfangst i ca. 20 år. Seilte som båtsmann fra krigsutbruddet. Var senere på Filippinene som mekaniker i den amerikanske hær og ble 6. mai 1942 tatt til fange av japanerne. Omkom 15. desember 1944 under transport til Japan, da den båten han var på, ble senket».
