Gift 1929 i Stavanger med Agnes Johanne, f. 1904. 3 barn. Styrmanns- og skipperskole, radioskole. Var på m/t Nina Borthen, og omkom i oktober 1940 da skipet den 5. s. md. forsvant fra en konvoi å ha gått fra Milford Haven 30. september.
