ASLAKSEN, WILLIAM HAUGERUD, styrmann, Porsgrunn. Født 17. juni 1898 i Porsgrunn, s. av Ole Aslaksen, f. 1863 i Bø i Telemark, og Anne Marie f. Larsen, f. 1866 i Porsgrunn. Gift 1930 i Porsgrunn med Gunhild Olsen, f. 1899 på Notodden. 2 barn. Reiste på hvalfangst 1939 som styrmann. Kom til England i mai 1940, for deretter mellom England og Amerika som styrmann i den norske handelsflåte, og omkom 4. februar 1941, da s/s Ringhorn ble torpedert på vei mellom Greenock og St. John.
