Registernummer under krigen: London 40791.
"Ringwood" ble kapret 14.10.1940 av tysk raider ORION, i pos. N 05.29', E 159.42' på reise fra Shanghai til Pleasant Islands i ballast. Skipet ble senket av tysk mannskap med en sprengladning etter at skipet var grundig ransaket og plyndret. Den norske besetningen ble overført til ORION, internert i Tyskland før de ble repatriert til Norge med S/S "Donau". Ankom Oslo 4.5.1941.
Var på MS Ringar under grunnstøtet 9. oktober 1944 og havari 23. oktober 1944.

Going through new source material in order to document the war sailors and their history is an ongoing and extensive effort, and there exist no complete register over decorations awarded. Infomation about medals will therefore be registered gradually and be based on different source materials. The war sailors were awarded medals both during and after the war.
