Registernummer under krigen: London 10504.

M/S Ringwood ble kapret av Tysk "raider" 14. oktober 1940. Mannskapet ble landsatt i Bordeaux, Frankriket den 4. april 1941. Satt i fabngeleir i 17 døgn, deretter sendt til fangeleiren Bremwervyrde, Tyskland. Var der i 8 døgn og derfra sendt hjem til Norge fra Stettin, Polen med D/S Donau. Ankom Oslo og ble frikjent 4. mai 1941.
