Dro til sjøs 1936, og var sist fyrbøter på D/S BRUSE. Omkom 23. november 1940 da skipet ble senket 300 n. mil vest for Irland, på reise fra Sydney, C.B., til Ipswich, England.
Faren Sigvald Kornelius omkom 1942.
