Våre falne:
Dro som 17-åring på hvalfangst. Gikk under krigen i alliert fart og var fyrbøter på d/s Tolosa, som gikk fra Kingston 1. februar 1942 og forsvant sporløst på vei til Chester, U. S. A. Etter tyske oppgaver skal fartøyet være senket av tysk u-båt 9. februar 1942.
Minnehallen i Stavern skriver:
D/S TOLOSA var på reise fra Jamaica til Chester, Pennsylvania,, hvor hun var ventet 10. februar 1942. Man hørte aldri noe mer fra skipet. Men ifølge tyske rapporter ble TOLOSA torpedert 9. februar 1942 av tysk U108, (Fregattenkapitän Klaus Scholtz ) i posisjon 3440 N og 7350 W. 16 nordmenn, to svensker, en norsk-amerikaner og en brite omkom.
