Gift 1922 i Bamble med Jenny Gunhild Gregersen, f. 1897. 1 barn. Var på d/s Tromøsund som 28. februar 1943 ble kapret av norske sabotasjestyrker og dagen etter bombet i senk i Nordsjøen av tyske fly. Alle som var ombord, omkom.
