"Vigør" ankom Casablanca den 19. juni 1940, og ble nektet utklarering av de franske myndigheter. Den 7. august 1941 ble mannskapet avmønstret og internert i land. Frigitt den 16. november 1942, og ankom Port Lyautey. Arbeidet om bord i M/S Nyhorn fra 16. desember 1942 til 20. desember 1942. Reiste til Dakar 24. januar 1943. Fangenskapet varte i 29 måneder.
