Var 3. styrmann på m/t Ferncastle, og omkom da skipet ble senket av en tysk hjelpekrysser og en japansk u-båt vest for Australia 17. juni 1943, da det var på vei fra Esperance Hill, W. A., til Den persiske bukt.
