Den 19. juni 1941 ble skipet rekvirert av Vichy-myndighetene og mannskapet internert i land.
Frigitt 16. november 1942 og kom til Port Lyautey. Arbeidet der for amerikanerne og på M/S NYHORN frem til 23. november 1942.
Mønstret på M/S Gabon som matros 10. februar 1943.
