D/S GRANLI ble senket av tysk krysser i Atlanterhavet 16. mars 1941. Mannskapet ble landsatt i Frankrike, og derfra sendt til fangeleir i Tyskland. Løslatt og hjemsendt til Norge, med ankomst Oslo 29. juli 1941.
