Registernummer under krigen: London 11895.
M/T SANDEFJORD ble kapret av tysk krysser 18. januar 1941 på reise fra Cape Town til Freetown.
Mannskapet ble internert i Frankrike i ca. 5 uker, senere videre sendt til Tyskland.
Løslatt og hjemsendt til Norge med S/S DONAU. Ankom Oslo 3. mai 1941.
