Reiste ut den 30.mars 1939 som dekksgutt på M/T ALAR. Var en tid oppvarter i Brooklyn, og senere ombord på den amerikanske slepebåten CHOCTAW hvor han døde den 11.februar 1945 av cyanidforgiftning.
