FLØTRE, IVAR, matros, Kvinesdal. Født 10. juni 1922 i Kvinesdal, s. av Mathias Fløtre, f. 1895 i Breim, og Fredrikke, f. 1898 i Feda. Skoleskipskurs. Mønstret 1939 på s/s Mosdale. Var senere på s/s Spero som seilte i alliert fart under krigen. Omkom 19. oktober 1942 da en brottsjø tok ham under arbeid med å surre livbåtene fast i et voldsomt uvær, på reise til Sydney, Nova Scotia.
