Var elektriker om bord i M/T "Regina" da skipet ankom Oran den 26. juni 1940 og ble tilbakeholdt av de franske myndigheter.. Den 21. juni 1941 ble mannskapet innlosjert i land, og fra den 24. juli 1941 internert om bord i M/S "Bosphorus". Reiste hjem til Norge 16.6.1942.
