«Gift 1910 i Kvinnherad med Anna Sunde, f. 1885 i Kvinnherad - 4 barn. 4 års verksted-tid og maskinistskole.
Seilte 6 år som 2. maskinist og 30 år som maskinmester.
Omkom da D/S FØINA ble torpedert av tysk ubåt U-20 ( Korvettenkapitän Karl-Heinz Moehle ) den 10. desember 1939. Alle omkom. Det eneste spor som ble funnet, var en av livbåtene med to lik».
