Født 12.januar 1879 i Tjøme.

Gift med Aslaug Mohn,f.1889 i Sandefjord - 2 barn. Dro til sjøs 14 år gammel.
Seilte under krigen i alliert fart som maskinist ombord på D/S LISBETH til han ble syk ombord i mars 1943:
Han ble innlagt på Stobhill sykehus i Glasgow hvor han døde den 21.juni 1943.

Urnen hjemsendt fra U.K. 15.9. 1945 til Sandefjord.

Vestfoldarkivet:

For sesongen 1939/40 var han med "Kosmos" ekspedisjonen som 1. maskinist på hvalfanger "Kos XVIII".
