Skoleskipskurs, begynt på styrmannsskole.
Kom på mineutleggeren H NOR MS OLAV TRYGVASSON i 1939, og derfra til panserskipet H HOR MS EIDSVOLD, og omkom da skipet ble senket utenfor Narvik den 9.april 1940.
