Reiste på hvalfangst som vanlig høsten 1939, kom til England våren 1940, gikk ombord i M/S LAURITS SWENSON, senere påmønstret M/T ANDERS JAHRE. Han er sansynligvis falt over bord fra dette skip natt til 9.august 1941 i Stillehavet, på reise fra Amerika til Australia.
