Mønstret ombord 1940 på det amerikanskeide panamaskipet D/S BOLD VENTURE som seilte i alliert tjeneste. Einar Arnljot Aune omkom da skipet ble torpedert og senket av tysk ubåt, U-423 den 17. oktober 1941.
