BOTTEN, KRISTIAN ODD, løytnant, Bergen. Født 6. oktober 1910 i Evenes, s. av handelsmann Oluf Botten, f. 1884 i Evenes, og Margit Johanna f. Hauge, f. 1888 i Tromsø. Middelskole, sjøkrigsskolen. Var først styrmann i B. D. S., senere konsulatsekretær på Newfoundland. Høsten 1939 kom han hjem og overtok vaktbåten Børlind. Da krigen brøt ut, dro han vestover til England og overtok vaktbåten Kos V med stasjon på Færøyane. Under tokt i sjøen ble han angrepet av gulsott. Døde av hjertelammelse 2. oktober 1941 i Thorshavn. Gravlagt samme sted.
