Gift 1918 i Frankrike med Marcelle Lucie Helouin, f. 1897 i Frankrike, d. 1934 i Paris. 3 barn. Seilte under krigen som maskinmester på d/s Asgerd. Omkom 27. september 1940 da skipet ble torpedert i Nord-Atlanteren på vei mellom Methil og Sydney.
