Senere gjorde han tjeneste som skytter på følgende norske handelsskip:
M/S BESHOLT fra 11.5.1942 til 3.9.1942.
M/S GRANVILLE fra 10.9.1942 til 21.1.1943.
M/S HØEGH SILVERLIGHT fra 17.3.1943 til 11.6.1943.
M/S HØYANGER fra 4.11.1943 til 1.1.1944.
D/S NORELG fra 18.3.1944 til 6.5.1944. overført
M/T ARENA fra 6.5.1944 til 30.1.1945. overført
M/S KARMT fra 30.1.1945 til skipet ble torpedert den 18.april 1945. 4 mann omkom og 35 ble reddet. ( M/S KARMT hadde 1 væpningsoffiser og 4 norske matros / skyttere ombord.) Han var deretter ombord i:
D/S AUN fra 19.5.1945 til 16.7.1945.
